While the Panthers have been comparatively lucky on the injury front over the first 19 games they’re starting to catch up in recent games.
On Tuesday, the missing in action included defensemen Bryan Allen and Jason Garrison, both hurt in Monday’s tough 3-2 loss to the Penguins. Both are described as ‘lower body’ injuries, but the smart cash is on Garrison retweaking his nagging groin. F Steve Bernier (orbital bone surgery) isn’t close; either is F Byron Bitz (hernia surgery). F Rostislav Olesz’ broken mddle finger is worse than expected and he won’t be back for a couple of weeks or when he could grip the stick. C Stephen Weiss is playing but is clearly not 100 percent with a nagging ankle injury. …
